FP819 : Posterior Keratoconus – A Case Series

This case series describes the varied presentations of unilateral circumscribed posterior keratoconus. The first case s a 12 year old girl who presented with unilateral nebular opacity (LE) with circumscribed excavation of the posterior cornea (superiorly) with endothelial guttae and stromal scarring in the area of the opacity with no other ocular manifestations. Her BCVA LE at presentation was 6/9 which dropped to 3/60 in 5 months time. She also had webbed neck, beaked nose, malformed teeth, cleft palate (operated scar +), retrognathia, scoliosis, right inguinal hernia and right dysplastic kidney. The second case is a 6 year old boy who presented with unilateral nebular opacity RE with circumscribed excavation of posterior cornea (inferiorly) and no systemic anomalies. BCVA RE was 6/12 at presentation and continues to be the same.
