Out of all the brain tumours, meningiomas account for 15% of the total share and Sphenoid ridge is the third commonest site of intracranial meningiomas .Though in children, only 4.2-15% of intracranial meningiomas involve the sphenoid wing .Pathologically they are considered to be benign tumours arising from cap cells located in clusters around the arachnoid granulations that exist in relation to neural structures and their foramen.Showing diverse origins, clinical presentations and surgical management, they all occupy the parasellar region with its complex anatomical boundary zone between orbital and intracranial compartments including the cavernous sinus.
