FP846 : Sympathetic Ophthalmitis with Subretinal Fibrosis, An Uncommom Presentation. A Case Report

31 years old male patient presented with history of left eye(LE) perforating injury 6months back ,following which he had loss of vision in LE , and subsequently noticed gradual diminution of vision in right eye(RE) starting 2 months back. RE vision was 6/24 and N12 with best correction, and showed keratic precipitates, 1+ anterior chamber cells, posterior synechae and pigments on lens. LE was pthisical with no perception of light. RE fundus showed disc edema, pigmentary changes in macula and bands of subretinal fibrosis inferiorly and temporally to macula, focal areas of exudative retinal detachment , multifocal choroidal infiltrates in the mid periphery (Dalen fuchs nodules). B scan and Optical coherence tomography corfirmed clinical findings and showed normal foveal contour. Patient was adviced high doses of oral steroids and oral azathioprine after physician clearance but patient was lost to follow up.
