Methods : 49 year old male presented with acute onset of redness, pain, watering of 5 days duration in both eyes, and decreased vision in right eye. Clinically he had acute fibrinous non granulomatous anterior uveitis in both eye with right eye cystoid macular edema . A thorough laboratory investigation was done, results were within normal limits. The optical coherence tomography of right eye showed a central retinal thickness of 574 um. As the patient denied sub tenons steroids, he was treated with topical difluprednate, NSAIDS and oral antibiotics, low dosage corticosteroids.
Results: After 20 days the patient showed improvement of the ocular symptoms. OCT showed reduction in the CMT to 319um .
Discussion: This is a rare case report were there was resolution of the uveitic cystoid macular edema with the use of topical difluprednate 0.01%.
