Melanocytoma of the optic disk is a hamartoma with malignant potential. At times, it may be confused with malignant melanoma. We describe the clinical features, autofluorescence, Bscan ultrasonography, coherence tomography, fluorescein angiography and visual field testing which helped us to differentiate it from malignant melanoma and confirm the benign nature of the tumor.
