VT219 – MISSING IOL FOUND IN VITREOUS BEHIND PC REPOSITIONED IN BAG

Dr.Shahbaaz Mohd

During a routine phacoemulsification after removing the cataractous lens and cortex we planned to implant a single piece hydrophobic iol in the bag. while implanting the iol their was a sudden jerk due to tight injector and the iol was lost. we were wondering where it has gone. then we saw one haptic of iol behind the pc. we were thinking what next and then we decided to bring it back to its original position and we did it. the video shows the worst nightmare a phaco surgeon can have and the best outcome he can give ifhe do not get pannic and use presence of mind.
