FP272 : Effectiveness of Scleral Fixated IOL in Aphakic Patients

Methods: We retrospectively studied secondary intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in 904 aphakic eyes from 2003 to 2015.We studied scleral fixated iol out of them. All data retrived from EMR,the pre & postoperative visual acuity (VA) & other details were recorded. The data was analysed using SPSS 22.Result: Of all 904 cases of Aphakia,69 (7.6%) were sf iol using 4 point fixation technique. Men age was 60+/-16.2 When compared final visual outcome was >6/18 in 38%, and post operative visual outcome significantly different P<0.00, secondary glaucoma was main cause for not improvement of vision. Conclusion: 4 point scleral fixation is a safe and effective technique causing significant improvement in vision in case of aphakia.
