Being a left hander starting from holding a scalpel in the dissection hall to putting IV cannula in internship it was all difficult to learn from right handed seniors. After opting for Ophthalmology, first 6 month were same as that of my colleagues, but when I entered OT then it was difficult to assist my right handed teachers I had to make the mirror image of what my teachers were doing. To learn surgery under guidance of right handed surgeon was difficult. Now being a teacher, to train left handed residents is a pleasure tips for lefty learners will be discussed.
