Violence against women targets face and eyes bear the brunt of it with vision threatening consequences. Aim: To study all the cases of violence victims attending our hospital. Method: Prospective intervention study. Result: 360 cases with mean age of 23.5 years were registered in this study.90% were burn cases involving eyes.70% had visually depriving lesion. Acid burn was significant in 50% cases. Bilateral Sub-conjunctival haemorrhage was found in attempted throttling. Proper counseling and inhibitory regulation has reduced incidence significantly. Conclusion: Increasing eye injuries is testimony to increasing violence against women and showcase degradation of society. Counseling and strict prohibition can reduce “social “eye injuries in females.
