This is a retrospective study of hospitals having LASIK facilities in and around Patna and adjoining area.
Purpose of our study to find the difference between the running cost of the machine,its maintenance and the anxiety factor of the operating doctors of different hospitals in comparison to our centre. Our centre for LASIK is by group of 19 doctors started at neutral centre conducive to everyone.Our questionnaire was given to our colleagues, operating doctors and company people.
We concluded that the running cost of the machine and it’s maintenance is same for all hospitals but the anxiety factor was almost nil for doctors operating at our centre in comparison to doctors of other hospitals…so in group practice all burdens are shared with doctors and primary focus remains the surgery and not the tension of the machine and active marketing to generate patients to meet the machine running costs…
