Dr. Harshavardhan Ghorpade, G14398, Dr. Moreker Sunil Ratilal

Introduction :- Allograft SLET has been proven as a treatment of bilateral stem cell deficiency but there is little data about safety and efficacy of cataract surgery post AlloSLET

Method : We conducted a case study and review of literature for factors important in visual restoration post cataract surgery with follow up of 3 months in a patient in whom AlloSLET had been done a year and half ago with stem cells from his sister

Results : The vision was restored to 6/9 at three months follow up in the patient of SLET allograft .

Discussion :-Judicious use of viscoelastics , immunosuppressant therapy peri operative , good surgical technique and management of post operative inflammation are the factors we discuss as determinants of results based on the observations made by us as well as historical case reviews
