Most common presentation of phlyctenular keratoconjuntivitis is at the limbus or at the conjunctiva. We report two cases of unusual presentations of phlyctenular keratoconjuntivitis in children. One child presented with multiple recurrent conjunctival nodules with superior corneal thinning. Second child presented with an inferior peripheral ulcerative keratitis like picture. A thorough systemic evaluation of both the children was done and they were found to be suffering from pulmonary TB. The patients were put on anti tubercular therapy and their ocular signs and symptoms showed significant improvement.
CONCLUSION: Phlyctenular keratoconjunctivitis can have varied presentations and should be kept in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with nodular keratoconjunctivitis with or without corneal thinning esp in the Indian scenario where TB is rampant.
