Purpose : Post traumatic vertical scar produce anguler deformity of the lid causes ectropion ,lagophthalmos and exposure keratitis .To evaluate cosmetic and functional outcome to correct the anguler deformity of the lid by multipare Z-Plasty.Long term follow up and recurrence.
Mathods : Prospective interventional case series of eight eye lid and patients over a period of three years. All the patient had post tramatic anguler deformity lid.Vertical scar tissue excised along with tarsal plate thus release the traction force.Multiple Z line drawn and incised accordingly. Quadrangular flap formed and transposed in triangular fashion thus change direction of the scar contraction line thus angular deformity is corrected.
Results : All eight patient had good cosmetic, anatomical and functional outcome postoperatively. No such recurrence of the deformity in one year follow up period.
Conclusion : Multipare Z-pasty is effective treating post traumatic ugly scar formation with anguler deformity of lid. It has excellent cosmetic, anatom
