Prospective study of 59 children (< 15 years) with amblyopia was done between Jan to Dec 2015. Group1 underwent visual stimulation therapy; Group 2 underwent occlusion therapy. Improvement in BCVA, Stereopsis and Contrast Sensitivity in 2 groups was compared.

Improvement in BCVA was significant in both groups after 3 months (Group1 – P-0.17; Group2 P-0.007), 6 months (Group1 – P-0.19 ; Group2 P-0.000) and 9 months of follow up (Group1 – P-0.005 ; Group2 P-0.000).
At end of 9 months visual stimulation was as effective as conventional occlusion therapy. Compliance, repeatability & improvement in stereopsis and contrast sensitivity were better in VTS-4 group.
