FP521 : Epidemology of Corneo- Scleral Laceration

Aim: To Identify The Epidemological Characteristics And Outcome Of Corneo-Scleral Laceration.

Materials And Method: 54 Patients Identified In 2 Year (2014-2016). Patients Evaluated For Demographic Profile, Mechanism Of Injury, And Location Of Injury, Final Visual Acuity And Comparision Of Presentation Time With Visual Outcome.

Result:Average Age Was 27.18yrs, 81.48% Were Males.Wooden Stick And Blunt Trauma Was 42.59% And 24.07%. The Injury To Cornea Was 57.41%, Corneo-Limbal 11.11%, Corneo-Scleral 22.22% And Scleral 9.26%. Iofb In 3 Cases. Presentation Within 6 Hrs Visual Outcome Of 6/18 In 38.09% Whereas 18.18% After 6hrs.

Conclusion:Application Of Preventive Measures, Early And Effective Treatment Is Essential For Best Visual Outcome.
