Sturge-Weber Syndrome: A Case Report

Purpose: To report the incidence of exudative choroidal and retinal detachment following Glaucoma drainage procedures in Sturge-weber syndrome (SWS) for uncontrolled Intra ocular pressure (IOP)

Design: a retrospective, non-comparative, interventional analysis of two cases Intervention: Glaucoma drainage procedure without prophylactic posterior sclerotomy in two patients of SWS

Results: We encountered massive exudative choroidal and retinal detachment as a potential vision threatening complication following glaucoma drainage procedure in both the cases of SWS requiring prompt therapeutic intervention. In this case report one of the cases could be managed only with IVTA but another case required posterior sclerotomy, intravitreal triamcinolone aceate along with additional procedures like belt buckle placement, endolaser, silicon oil tamponade
