A female patient ,aged 18 years, complaining of diminuation of vision, left more then right eye with VA 6/24 and 6/9 respectively was admitted. Pupillary light reaction of both sides were sluggush. In fundoscopy, bilateral papilloedema is seen .
Her colour vision was found to be normal. Perimetry of right and left eye showed altitudinal defect and general reduction in sensitivity respectively. MRI brain shows supraclenoid part of internal carotid artery impinging over the retro-orbital part of left optic nerve just proximal to optic chiasma causing anterior displacement, thinning of left optic nerve.
