Implantation of intraocular lens is a challenge in paediatric patients in view of long term complications and IOLpower surprises. Selection of appropriate IOL design, IOL power calculation, timing of implantation, and difficult situations of IOL implantation will be discussed in the course. Role of premium IOLs in children will also be discussed with suitable examples. The course will outline the management options for the complications related to IOL implantation in children. Fixation of IOL / capsular bag in children will also be discussed. The course will include suitable examples of various scenarios with video based demonstration of their management. Role of appropriate refractive correction and amblyopia management will be highlighted. Adequate time will be kept for interaction with the ophthalmologists attending the course.
