Synopsis: This course will present the diagnostic evaluation, differential diagnosis, and management of the primary developmental glaucomas. Recent management in the medical and surgical therapies including antibrotic therapy (mitomycin C and 5-fluorouracil), glaucoma drainage devices, and cycloablative procedures will be discussed. Long-term follow-up results will be highlighted. Quality of life of the afflicted children and their care givers will be presented. Objective: At the conclusion of the course, the attendees will be familiar with the holistic care of the pediatric glaucomas using medical, surgical, genetic, and rehablitation approaches in an integrated manner. Also it will provide a perspective on the quality of life of afflicted children and their care givers.
