Navigation guidance is an intra-operative live tracking technology used in Neurosurgery and maxilla-facial surgery. Its application is Ophthalmology have been very sparsely reported worldwide. Intra-operative navigation guidance can be a very useful tool in orbital surgery, tumor resections, orbitaldecompressions, orbital foreign body removal, and other areas. It is important to make the ophthalmologist aware of this technology, indications, and advantages over routine surgery. This course intends to give a basic idea of the tool. Classic cases would be discussed where its application is most useful. A demo machine of the navigation technology would give the delegates hands-on experience of using this technology. Its utility would benefit not only the practicing ophthalmologists, but would also help the post-graduates in learning orbital anatomy and developing interest in ophthalmic plastic surgery.
