Background:Ocular surface pathologies like recurrent pterygium,chemical burns,persistant corneal epithelial defect,non healing corneal ulcer and some systemic conditions like steven-johnson syndrome,pemphigoid,vit A deficiency posses a great deal of threat to visual outcome.Amniotic membrane because of its unique properties including the facilitation of migration of epithelial cells, the reinforcement of basal cellular adhesion and epithelial differentiation together with its ability to modulate stromal scarring and its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial activity has led to its use in the treatment of these cases. Method:we are presenting the videos showing Amniotic membrane grafting in Steven Johnson syndrome,chemical burns and in cases of recurrent pterygium with 10-0 ethilon. Conclusion:Amniotic membrane has been proved to be a boon for ocular surface pathologies and it’s use is continuously increasing in recent years if it is done adequately and within appropriate time period.
