Dr. Monalisa Mohapatra, M13745

Aim : To study the efficacy and complication of glue free and sutureless conjuctival limbal autograft(CLAG) for primary pterygium over a period of 9 months.

Methods and materials: A prospective interventional case series was carried out in 32 eyes with primary nasal pterygium requiring surgical excision.

Result : Mean age of the patients was 38.15 (range 21-52), out of which female were 22 (68.75% ). Post operative complications were graft retraction in 4 eyes (3.12%), subconjuctival haemorrhage in 2eyes (6.25%), graft dehiscence in 1eye (3.12%).

Conclusion : Sutureless and glue free CLAG following pterygium excision is an effective , economical and safe method for primary pterygium management.
