FP550 : Lateral Rectus Palsy-An Interesting Case Series of Two Patients

Aim: To present a series of two interesting cases of Lateral Rectus Palsy .Materials & Methods: 02 patients presented with h/o Diplopia and face turn of 01 & 10 years respectively .H/O Inj Botox two doses was present in case 1 and h/o craniotomy in other.Case 1 had esodeviation of 25∆BO with a face turn of 30° and case 2 had esodeviation of 35∆BO ,face turn of 20°.Case 2 also had features of SO plasy in the other eye.Case 1 had Left LR palsy and Case 2 had Right LR palsy. MR recession 6mm with partial VRT was done in both cases.Result :In case 1 the esodeviation and face turn was corrected and in case2 face turn was corrected with consecutive exo & is under regular followup for left SO palsy.Both the cases showed 01 grade abduction improvement. Conclusion: The expected surgical outcome may vary in atypical cases.
