Any intraocular haemorrhage associated with subarachnoid haemorrhage,traumatic brain injury or intracerebral haemorrhage is referred to as Terson Syndrome1.Usual they have bilateral presentation .Here we present a unique unilateral presentation of terson syndrome which was successfully treated with argon laser hyaloidotomy resulting in complete restoration of vision.
A 22yr old boy presented to ophthalmology OPD with BCVA of 6/6(RE) & 6/60(LE) 12 days post an RTA.. CT scan revealed left frontotemperoparietal subdural haemorrhage with adjacent contusions and subarachnoid haemorrhage causing mass effect and midline shift to right and linear fracture of temporal bone. At the time of presentation BCVA was 6/6 in right eye and 6/60 in left eye with near vision of N6 in right eye and less than N36 in left eye.Slit lamp biomicroscopy revealed normal anterior segment examination bilaterally.In both eyes pupils were normal in size and reacting to light with no RAPD .Fundus examination of left eye showed premacular haemorrhage of 2disc di
