PURPOSE: Neurological evaluation of the case of bilateral disc edema in a young male patient secondary to right transverse and sigmoid sinus thrombosis and importance of early intervention in unusual presentation with minimal symptoms and presenting sign only as papilledema of early or established stage.
OBJECTIVES: A 26 yr old male patient came to our OPD with complaints of diffuse headache posteriorly, 10 episodes of vomiting only once, no H/o vomiting on further , diplopia in extreme gaze, numbness of right arm and right side of chest of intermittent nature. On general physical examination vitals are normal. CNS examination: Motor power- grade 5 ,reflexes(superficial and deep tendon)- normal, sensory system –normal, cerebellar system. All cranial nerves are normal except 2nd and 6th. All other systems are normal.
On ocular examination : Both eyes anterior segment- normal, pupils round, regular and reacting to light for both direct and consensual, IOP-12 mmHg, vision – 6/6 parts no improvement , refraction RE-
