Results : A young female presented to our oculoplasty clinic with complaints of drooping of right upper eyelid for the past 4 months. She gave history of excision of right cervical vagal schwannoma 4 months back. Examination revealed mild ptosis of right eye with excellent levator action. Extraocular movements were full. There was miosis of right pupil with anisocoria increasing in scotopic illumination. A diagnosis of iatrogenic Horner’s syndrome was made and patient was kept under regular follow up. The possibility of ptosis correction in future was discussed.
Conclusion : Horner syndrome following vagal schwannoma excision has rarely been reported in literature. A thorough knowledge of anatomy is necessary to prevent such complications.
