Aim: To report two cases of malignant glaucoma after AGV implantation.
Materials and Methods: Case 1. 70 years old female with secondary glaucoma and a failed bleb in right eye presented with IOP of 52 mmHg. AGV was implanted in superotemporal quadrant. However post operatively, the AC was shallow with IOP of 18 mm Hg. Siedel’s test was negative and there were no choroidals. The patient responded to pars plana vitrectomy after which AC became deep and IOP remained normal.
Case 2. A 68 yrs old male presented with cataract and a failed bleb in left eye . AGV was implanted along with phacoemulsification and PCIOL. In early post-operative period, AC remained shallow. Anterior vitrectomy was done after which AC became deep and IOP remained normal.
Results: Both the cases responded well to anterior vitrectomy
Conclusions: In post AGV malignant glaucoma, IOP may remain normal, but AC is shallow in absence of massive choroidals and wound leak. Both the cases responded well to vitrectomy.
