Endoscopic Endonasal DCR (En-DCR) has for long been the domain of ENT surgeons. Recent advancements and renements in techniques and instrumentation in En-DCRs have improved its success rates to rival those of external DCR. This course, targeted at Oculoplastic surgeons and general ophthalmologists performing lacrimal surgeries aims to familiarize them with the endoscopy set-up, instrumentation, anatomy and surgical procedures with video based talks. Important issues such as the economics and complications will also be discussed by ophthalmologists from premier eye institutes who are trained in En-DCR. Other variations of the external DCR such as sub-ciliary approach and Non Endoscopic Endonasal DCR will also be demonstrated. The goal is to showcase the eciency of endoscopic lacrimal procedures and to encourage Oculoplastic surgeons to shift to En-DCRs as with lesser morbidity, complications and equal success rates, it has evolved into an effective alternative to external DCR.
