Astigmatism correction during catarct surgery has now become a medical necessity. Toric IOL’s provide a safe and predictable outcome for cataract patients with co-existing astigmatism. This video based course will cover all basic & advanced aspect of Toric IOL’s ie Case selection, Pre-operative workup, SIA, using Toric IOL calculators, different techniques of Marking the eye (slit lamp, Bubble marker, Electronic toric marker etc), technique of Toric IOL positioning ( 3 step, Verion guided, holos and Orange guided), Post-operative assessment of IOL alignement, softwares for assessment of Toric IOL rotation, repositioning misaligned Toric IOL’s. This course will also cover the advanced use of Toric IOL’s like use in Pediatric age group, multifocal Toric IOL’s, post keratoplasty, forme fruste keratoconus and keratoglobus. At the end of the course all participants will become familiar with the nuances of using Toric IOL’s. DVD’s of Surgical Videos will be distributed to all the attendees.
