Purpose:- To describe a series of cases with poor view during cataract surgery and the role of chandelier illumination in various steps of cataract surgery.

Methods:- Chandelier illumination assisted cataract surgeries were performed in various indications like Post trachomatous corneal opacity, Post Deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty-Interface haze, Advanced keratoconus with apical scarring, post viral keratitis-corneal scar, Dense Vitreous hemorrhage. In all these cases, chandelier illumination was helpful in various steps of cataract surgery. Results:- This technique facilitated completion of cataract surgeries, uneventfully in an otherwise difficult scenarios with media opacities.

Conclusion:- Chandelier illumination assisted cataract surgery is helpful in hazy media when sequential procedures are planned for better results.
