Challenges faced are small miotic pupil, pupillary membrane ,iris pigments on lens,iris atrophy etc.The pre-op considerations- are quiet eye for three months,treating the inflammation,use of corticosteroids and NSAIDS.Intra-operative challenges-small pupil,band keratopathy,calcium deposits on corneal surface or vitreous debris .In this video series we will show the the membrane peeling in cases of pupillary membrane which can impede good capsulorrhexis and make iris prone to bleeding.

This series will also demonstrate the difficulty in managing the weak zonule in complicated cataract, iris and IOL management, difficulty faced during the intraopperiod because of iris.Also uveitis can worsen coexisting ocular problems and their concurrent surgical correction is required..Post-operative complications-PCO,Pseudophakic macular edema,flaring up of inflammation etc.Post-op management-corticosteroids and NSAIDs are to be used ,Nd:YAG capsulotomy is required in patients with PCO.
