FP766 : Comparison of Post-Op Surgically Induced Astigmatism in Msics with Straight Versus Frown Incision

Aim- Comparison of postoperative SIA in MSICS with straight versus frown incison. Material & methods- 50 patients of cataract were divided into 2groups(25each)- group A underwnt MSICS with 6mm staright incision, groupB- underwent MSICS with 6mm frown incision. BCVA,keratometry readings were recorded- preop, at 1week, 1month, 3month and SIA was calculated with SIA calculator version 2.1,a free software program.

Results- mean SIA in group A and B were:1.12D and 0.95D resp., which was statistically significant.

Conclusion- Frown incision gives lesser SIA than straight incision in MSICS.
