A new ” OPAI TECHNIQUE” for axis marking on slit lamp for TORIC Intraocular Lens implantation.We used slit lamps incorporated with degree of slit beam i.e 0-180 degree. Here we take help of this degree on slit lamp for direct axis marking on the cornea.Axis marking for TORIC IOL is routinely done in 2STEPS.
1-STEP: Reference marking & 2-STEP :- Axis marking for Incision location & IOL placement.This technique eliminates the 2nd stage marking for toric IOLs implantation as directly second stage of axis marking is done in sitting position.This new innovative technique gives excellent predictable & reproducible results as the reduplication of error in reference marking is eliminated. Single step axis marking for TORIC IOL in sitting position is precise,predictable,simple,easy & less time consuming
