We report a rare case of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma presenting at birth in an infant of 25 days with history of proptosis of right eye since birth. There was rapid increase in the bulging of right eye and at the time of presentation ,there was a large tumour mass in the orbit of size 35*25 mm with crusting and bleeding on surface. The mass was soft ,non mobile, non compressible and distinctly seperated from orbital rim. The eyeball could not be identified seperately from the tumour mass.Xray orbit showed a dense mass in the right orbit with enlargement of the orbit. No calcification or bony erosions were seen. Treatment— A lid sparing exenteration of the orbit was done. Per op, the mass was soft, friable, occupying superior orbit and extending upto orbital apex. Eyeball was pushed inferiorly and firmly adherent to mass. HPE–showed an extra ocular tumour showing features closest to embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. The patient was later referred for radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy
