FP37 : Pulse Less and Vision Loss; A Case Report of Takayasu Arteritis

A 28-yr-old lady diagnosed with Takayasu Arteritis 2yrs ago presented with blurring of left eye vision two month duration,transient obscuration of vision in left eye 2yrs.On clinical examination Absent pulse both radials, BP not recordable in upper limb, Carotid bruit present.BCVA-6/6 in RE,6/9 in LE, Anterior segment normal.

Fundus fluorescein angiography revealed delayed arm to retina time,delayed arterial filling,prolonged AV transit time,Peri arterial hypofluorescence,Venular dilatation,Multiple microaneurysms,Non perfusion area,Hypofluorescence in late stage,Reperfused cilioretinal artery occlusion.

Contrast enhanced MR aortography revealed Distal Aortic-arch and proximal thoracic aorta stenosed Common carotid origin shows stenosis both sides,Right subclavian stenosis,Both sides renal arteries were normal.

Type 2b according to angiographic classification,Type b2 retinopathy according to modified takayasu classification.Proper clinical work-up,Detailed systemic evaluation is the key.
