AIM: To demonstrate the techniques of vitreo-retinal management in case of eventful cataract surgery.

MATERIALS AND METHODS: Complications are uninvited but inevitable. We wish to demonstrate Video-based review of management of complications causing vitreous loss in cataract surgery by VR techniques. In cataract surgery vitreous loss is one of the most dreaded complication if plan B is not ready. Plan B is to use SF IOL / Secondary IOL / AC IOL. But foremost important part of plan B is prompt anterior Vitrectomy to settle anterior vitreous phase for good prognosis in long term.

Results: Surgical approach in each case is determined according to pre-op findings &intra-op scenario. Though many surprises may emanate during surgery. For any complication causing vitreous loss plan B using anterior vitrectomy is must. So learning anterior vitrectomy is must to be a triumphant cataract surgeon.
