Purpose: To evaluate the etiology and outcome of multiple cranial nerve palsies. This is a retrospective case series of 14 patients with multiple cranial nerve palsy with follow up of 3 months. Mean age was 46.6 years. Visual acuity ranged from 6/6 to 1/2/60. All patients were advised neuroimaging. The palsy followed trauma in 4 patients, 3 had tolosa hunt syndrome, 3 had orbital apex syndrome (1 secondary to sphenoid sinusitis), 1 had cavernous hemangioma, 1 had pontine infarct secondary to diabetes,2 had diabetes and hypertension with normal imaging.Patients with traumatic palsy had no improvement. All patients with tolosa hunt and orbital apex syndrome were given steroids; only 1 recovered completely. Patient with sphenoid sinusitis underwent sphenoidectomy and recovered partially. Patient with cavernous hemangioma underwent orbitotomy eventually developed frozen globe. Conclusion:Multiple cranial nerve palsies management is challenging and needs multi-disciplinary approach.
