Dr.Harithaapriyadarshini Chadalavada, C17989, Dr.Suryaprakash A. V. , Dr. Manjunath B. H

Prospective; interventional case series; single centre; Posterior iris-clawimplantation (EXCELENS model:5580) done as a part of primary surgery in 2(33.3%),as an IOL-exchange procedure for dislocated PCIOL in 2(33.3%) ,for decentered ACIOL in 1(16.6%) & secondary procedure (postparsplana vitrectomy) in 1(16.6%).1(16.6%).Mean followup is 4months.The meanCDVA significantly better than preoperative meanCDVA in all.Postoperative refractive errors within +/-2 D of emmetropia. Presence of Nasal pterygium caused difficulty in visualization of nasal enclavation in 2. Complications involved pupil ovalization in 2patients(33.3%).No significant Iop difference observed postoperatively on POD-7 or last followup. No other major intraoperative/postoperative complications occurred.Simple procedure;minimal learning curve. No special instruments needed. Can be effective standby lens in complicated cases where PCIOL cannot be put.Longterm followup with a larger sample size determines their longterm efficacy
