A 35 year old female presented to OPD with complaints of foreign body sensation and asthenopic symptoms in the right eye. The best corrected visual acuity in both eyes were 6/6, N6.
On examination, anterior segment of patient was within normal limits. However, on fundus examination there were bony spicules in mid peripheral region in right eye associated with arteriolar attenuation and waxy disc pallor.
The patient had no family history of any eye problem. ERG showed abnormal response in right side. Visual field test also showed constricted visual field in right side whereas the left side was normal. We diagnosed the case as unilateral retinitis pigmentosa which is a rare condition.
