AIM: To evaluate significant association between donor cornea parameter with visual outcome after keratoplasty. METHOD: 1 year prospective study of patient undergone penetrating keratoplasty, January 2015 to January 2016 with at least 6 month of follow up. Best corrected visual acuity was measured. Patients were studied in terms of age, sex and associated ocular and systemic co morbidity and donor parameters. The visual acuity was recorded preoperatively and 3 and 6 months after operation, the latter two were being compared.
RESULT: Result are reported for 25 eyes of 25 patients, no significant improvement in vision was found with increasing age of recipient and time of donor death to surgery.
CONCLUSION: eyes with significant improvement in vision after surgery tend to have younger age group with no ocular and systemic co morbidities.
