Dr. Anusuya Bhattacharyya, B16026, Dr. Kalyan Das

AIM: To study the outcome of Collagen Cross Linking therapy in keratoconus patients, in a Tertiary eye care centre in North East India

OBJECTIVE:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE : To access the functional and morphological outcome in terms of visual acuity, refraction, topographic changes after corneal collagen cross-linking in progressive advanced keratoconus patients.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: To accesses the changes of endothelial cell count and contrast sensitivity before and after the procedure.

DESIGN: Hospital based prospective, interventional, case controlled study nonrandomized.

PARTICIPANTS: Sixty eyes of thirty patients undergoing C3R procedure between April 2015 and March 2016 that is for a period of 1 year.

INTERVENTION: Riboflavin-ultraviolet A (UVA)-induced C3R included instillation of 0.1% riboflavin–20% dextrane solution 30 minutes before UVA irradiation and every 5 minutes for an additional 30 minutes during irradiation.

MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), best spectacle-corrected visual acuity (BCVA),
