The Tolosa-Hunt Syndrome (THS) refers to a painful recurrent ophthalmoplegia with or without associated sensory changes. Attacks may last days to weeks and are characterized by remission and periodic relapses. THS closely resembles pathologic processes around the cavernous sinus or the superior orbital fissure and must be differentiated from them. The Tolosa-Hunt syndrome is a rare syndrome with an estimated annual incidence of one case per million per year We report a case of an 42-year-old male who was admitted because of an ophthalmoplegia and ptosis of the left eyelid accompanied by diplopia and left supraorbital pain.
Case report
We represent a case of42 year old male presented with history of ophthalmoplgia with ptosis of left eye. Patient was alright 5weeks back. Then he developed severe headache. He took some local medication. It was partially relieved. Then after 4 weaks he developed orbital pain in left eye which was very severe followed by progressive enlargement of globe with ptosis within three days. He was unable to mov
