FP403 : Roth Spots in A Case of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia

A 13 year old male presented to the Eye OPD with pain in both the eyes since last eight days associated with weakness,vomiting and fever for last one week.On ophthalmic examination his visual acuity was found to be 6/6 in both eyes.Fundus examination revealed multiple white centred retinal hemorrhages scattered in the posterior pole of both eyes.General examination revealed mild hepatomegaly.Laboratory investigations showed a ( Hb-6.8gm%, ESR-15mm,Total WBC Count-36,500/cmm, Lipase-9.9U/L, Amylase 54.2U/L) and presence of blast cells in peripheral blood smear.Bone marrow aspiration biopsy revealed acute myeloid leukaemia.
