PURPOSE:To compare the visual acuity with central macular thickness(CRT) by SD- OCT in different diabetic maculopathy& compare the biomicroscopicmaculopathywith OCT findings.
METHOD: 114 eyes (83 patients) with diabetic mellitus from January 2013 to April 2016.All patients were examined &review of Fundus evaluation and OCT done .
RESULTS:OCT is more sensitive to find oedema than slit lamp.(p value= 0.00016). There is a strong correlation between the CRT&V/A, a positive linear association between CRT and vision(correlation coefficientr = 0.6433).The Correlation Variancevalue of OCT (148.0028)<Fundusexamination(170.7544) provesOCT is better diagnostic tool.
CONCLUSION:OCT describes the subtle changes occur in any layers of the retina, thus showing the severity in the various types of DME. So modes of treatment to be given to each and every individual can be decided accurately.
