PURPOSE:To describe the characteristics of OCT picture of Vortex keratopathy in fabrys disease.
METHODS:A 42 -year-old female patient and her 17 -year old son with vortex keratopathy in Fabrys disease were subjected to slit lamp photography and OCT.
RESULTS:Slit lamp biomicroscopy of both the patients showed the presenceof bilateral whorl-like opacities located in the epithelium. On AS OCT (Anterior segment Optical Tomography)there are areas of hyperreflectivity corresponding to the areas of the whorl like opacities. The hyperreflectivity is seen in the entire thickness of epithelium.
CONCLUSION:In vortex keratopathy ASOCT shows hyperreflectivity of the epithelium in the areas of opacities.
