FP90 : Secondary Glaucoma – Anti- Convulsant/ Anti Migraine Drug Topiramate Induced Glaucoma

PURPOSE : Purpose of study is to find out ocular side effect of Topiramate [anti-convulsant drug].

MATERIAL AND METHOD : 25 Patient was included for this study,all 25 patient were taking drug topiramate for migraine and as anti seizure.

RESULT : Out of 25 patient 3 patient developed ocular side effect.
2 Patient developed sudden myopic shift of- 4 DS to – 5 DS
1 Patient developed choroidal effusion along with sudden myopic shift of-5 DS.

CONCLUSION : Topiramate, a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide antiseizure medication, is also used in the management of migraine, depression, and neuropathic pain. Ocular side effect usually occur with in the first 2 weeks after starting topiramate therapy. ocular side effect are raised IOP and temporary myopic shift
