MATERIALS AND METHODS : A study was conducted for 24 hrs at the glaucoma services of a tertiary eye care hospital at Chennai. Totally 30 eyes(right eye) of 30 patients were included and they were categorised into three goups : normal which included 12 eyes , glaucoma suspects (with normal fields but elevated IOP or increased cup disc ratio) which included 11 eyes and early glaucoma (with established field defects and glaucomatous optic atrophy) which included 7 eyes .A thorough baseline investigation including applanation tonometry , gonioscopy and fields were done . Intra ocular pressure and blood pressure were recorded at 4 am , 8 am , 12 pm , 4 pm , 8 pm and 12 am .the systolic , diastolic and mean ocular perfusion pressures were calculated .
RESLUTS : Diastolic perfusion pressure at night time was significantly lower in glaucoma suspects and glaucoma patients when compared to normal subjects .
