Lasers for retinal pathologies has been an important tool since time immemorial. Yet, newer technological evolutions, including modern delivery systems continue to challenge even the specialist. This course is aimed at mapping this evolution for the general ophthalmologist and budding medical retinologist. It also takes a relook
at photodynamic therapy and transpupillary thermotherapy in the current era. The course discusses infant retinal laser delivery and it’s imaging including diseases such as retinopathy of prematurity. Practical tips and tricks on executing a scientically and technically sound laser are discussed by leading experts in the field. This practical, technique based course will employ a case based approach to enhance the practical experience of its participants.
