IC201 – CHALLENGING CASES AND COMPLICATIONS WITH FEMTOSECOND LASER ASSISTED CATARACT SURGERY

Course Description: Course will focus on, and explore surgeries of complex cataract cases. The video will show docking in small eyes, laser incision issues, incomplete capsulotomies, anterior capsular tears, inadequate cortical breakdown, paediatric cataracts and posterior polar cataracts. The technique of managing subluxated lenses and stabilizing techniques for unstable cataracts, handling white cataracts, will also be discussed. Finally, a discussion on the merits of femto fragmentation techniques and patterns to diminish phaco time. Course Objective: This course aims to enhance the skills of the Femtosecond surgeon and increase his confidence, so that he will be able to handle and manage difficult cases, successfully and with ease. This course will also highlight newer techniques and evaluation methods to improve the postoperative results still better and enhance the speed of the surgeon.
