Dr. Deepak Megur [M08810] – Bidar (Karnataka)

The video course demonstrates and analyses the common unforced errors during Phacoemulsification resulting in intra-operative complications. Common errors during wound construction, CCC, nucleus management, cortex aspiration, IOL implantation will be highlighted. Strategies to prevent and manage avoidable complications like wound burn, Descemet’s Membrane detachment, Rhexis run o, PC tear, vitreous disturbance, impending nucleus drop, IOL breakage etc. will be demonstrated using high resolution video clips. Nontechnical factors like poor descision making, lapse of concentration, fatigue will be discussed. Objective: At the end of the course the attendee will be able to identify factors responsible for the avoidable errors, prevent them and manage complications if they occur.
